Verdict

Moorland Boy has improved in each of his three starts so far and Stunning In Purple has looked close to winning recently but STAR NOW debuts for the Mick Channon yard and we choose to take a risk and side with the unexposed filly in this contest. Pedigree suggests there is a lot of potential to shine as a two-year-old with the trip likely to suit. Mick Channon has a 16% strike rate with his juveniles here and could add to his tally with Star Now. Moorland Boy has steadily improved since he debuted at Haydock. Although coming plum last at this course before, a much better effort at Bath last time out suggests that he is going the right way and although we watch him on this occasion there may be a win in the offing soon. Stunning In Purple did really well when last seen at this track and only just lost to Prophet In A Dream by a quarter-of-a-length. Andy Haynes should bring out the best in the filly to prepare her for this race and she should come on again for her most recent try at Lingfield. However, we cautiously give the vote to Star Now to shine in this race.
