Verdict

Paul Nicholls only has a small string to play with during the summer months but the horses he has are always worth watching and PRINCE TOM is no exception in the opener and with luck in running he to taken to get the better of Atlantic Coast and Flying Phento who pose the main dangers. The selection is unexposed with only four runs under his belt. He showed promise in a couple of bumper races before being struck by injury. His first run for his new connections was also a fair one after finishing third to Red Twist over course and distance. With further improvement still to come he is the one horse in the race to stay on the right side of. Atlantic Coast was a fair handicapper on the level while in the care of Mark Johnston winning four times in the process. He has shown some decent form in a handful of maiden hurdles for trainer Peter Bowen this summer but has always found one too good and it could be the same scenario this time around. Flying Phento has been running in the point to point field of late and connections have decided to use his current fitness to pick up some prize money under rules. He does have each way claims but his form looks limited. Prince Tom is the form horse in the race and can come out on top.
