Verdict

Wingspeed gets the confident nomination here and is given the vote with Miss Trial and Sergeant Lewis the main danger. The selection put up a cracking effort at Epsom last time when narrowly beaten by Goodwood Spirit. A reproduction of that effort would make him the one to beat here, and as he proved that he handles the track at Epsom he should also be quite at home on this switchback track. Miss Trial finished third at Warwick last time but The Pheasant Flyer and King Marju who filled the first two places in that race have since gone on to frank the form so he looks a real live danger to our selection. Sergeant Lewis is a well-bred newcomer from the Jamie Osborne yard and this colt is worth noting in the market. If his yard were flying then he would be of interest, but Miss Trial and Wingspeed set a fair standard for the rest here and the vote is given to the last mentioned.
