Jonathan Jay's Amber Sunset only just lasted home when successful at Catterick last week and she may struggle to follow up under a 7lb penalty, while Hum Cat faces no easy task with his penalty for winning a Kempton claimer and preference is for SHADOW BAY. Tom Dascombe's gelding has been in good form of late with wins at Ripon and Nottingham prior to a decent effort in a Kempton claimer last time. That effort came on the back of a disappointing effort in a Newmarket handicap and a reproduction of his last time form may well suffice in a poor contest. Jim Boyle's Itainteasybeingme looks to be going the right way but he may be a shade high in the weights. Brendan Powell's Fongoli may do better now sent into nurseries, while Surprise Party similarly has a decent handicap mark and could be of interest. Shadow Bay has plenty going for him though and he gets the vote.
