In depth

Verdict

In Transit, Hay Fever, and Rio Royale are the ones to consider here, with In Transit taken to continue to progress. Hay Fever left her debut run well behind when chasing home the classy Langs Lash at Folkestone. The winner subsequently ran well to be second in a hot York contest and Hay Fever meets nothing of that calibre here and can go well. A son of Captain Rio, Rio Royale has shown ability in both his starts to date at Goodwood. He was not beaten far on both occasions, though he may have to settle for a place again here. Mick Channon's two-year-olds are starting to fire, and In Transit left his debut running well behind when just touched off at Goodwood, where he finished well ahead of Rio Royale. Having got so close to losing his maiden tag, this small field has given In Transit a good opportunity of going one better.
