Terminate, Emperors Well and Dan Tucker are the trio that make the shortlist here, with Terminate taken to come out on top. Emperors Well has not won for almost a year but he indicated last time that he was returning to form when a good third at Beverley. He has won similar events in the past and his last win came from a pound lower mark so he is well treated. Dan Tucker also indicated that his winless run which stretches back over a year, may be about to end when a staying on second at Newcastle. That was a sound effort and he too is not badly treated-only three pounds higher than when last successful. Terminate is five pounds higher than when successful at Bath two outings ago, with that win coming over a mile and a half. He is in good heart, finishing a close fourth at Doncaster last time. Serena Brotherton is on board, so he will receive the best possible assistance from the saddle. It would be no surprise to see Terminate try and make all the running here to stretch his rivals' stamina. Terminate can take the opener.
