    Verdict

North Parade, Dancer in Demand and Evelith Regent are the shortlisted trio here, with North Parde taken to come out on top. Dancer in Demand was not unfancied when making his Newbury debut, staying on in the closing stages to be third. He is closely related to the Derby winner North Light and is likely to relish this extra furlong and a half. Catterick bumper winner Evelith Regent was made an odds-on favourite after a staying on second at Musselburgh on his Flat debut, but he disappointed after pulling hard. He clearly has ability, and can put that effort behind him if settling better. After a good effort to chase home Centennial at Newbury last season, North Parade was given a stiff task on his re-appearance, finishing fifth in the Dee Stakes at Chester. He was outclassed there, but will have come on for the run, and North Parade can justify his trainer's high opinion of him here.
