In depth

Verdict

Thoutmosis can land a quickfire double for his young pilot although Totally Scottish and Kid 'Z' Play will be tough nuts to crack. Such was the exuberance of the jockey that he almost fell off when punching the air upon victory at Kelso but Lenny Lungo will have told him to sit still this time around. Totally Scottish is nothing but consistent but he has plenty enough weight for a horse that does not win so often. Kid 'Z' Play was found out in better grade last time and will need to be at his best to take on horses carrying less weight than himself. King's Crest and Gastornis return from absences and are watched while Spainkris has something to prove for his new trainer, Martin Todhunter. Thoutmosis gets the verdict in a competitive heat.
