Verdict

MATTMU has gone close in both outings to date with a second to Northgate Lad at Beverley his latest effort. Tim Easterby's charge has yet to race on fast ground but the surface conditions may change in his favour if the forecast rain arrives and he can get off the mark. Robben should have improved from his debut at Hamilton and can figure while a trio of newcomers represent powerful northern yards. Twin Turbo and Don Ricardo are included in that group but Likely is the most interesting having been purchased at the sales in Ireland only last month for £340,000.
