Verdict

Divine Gift is the call with Warrior Drive and Regent Secret put forward as the alternatives. The seven-year-old is obviously difficult to keep sound as his lack of racing serves testament to. That said, he won well at Southwell last week and if he can continue his nominal progression, he should be up to following up today. Warrior Drive landed the odds at Hereford in November on firm going. There must have been something amiss during his Chepstow race so it could be wise to simply apply the big marker through it. Regent Secret has been a fantastic servant to connections under both codes. He won well at Perth and does not mind any give in the ground. Los Nadis is arguably one of the classier horses in the Peter Monteith yard. He should be straight enough after a recent pipeopener on the flat. Park Prospect is a better horse over hurdles than on the level. Front Rank will be suited by the likelihood of a strong gallop. Sonic Anthem does have to reverse form with our selection and he could go close given the form of his stable. Orpen Wide has struggled against the handicapper. Prime Contender is quirky but George Baker managed to get a win out of him at Worcester in order to justify his ¿5000 claim at Fontwell earlier in the year. A fair race and Divine Gift is our pick.
