In depth

Verdict

Tirol Livit is preferred in the finale to Flying Doctor and Go Figure. The selection won well in selling grade last time out and while he would have been better off in a handicap, horses from this stable have been well backed in recent weeks and we stick to side with something that is at least in form. Flying Doctor's better form has been with cut underfoot. Nicky Richards' stable are hardly in the greatest form so confidence wains as a consequence. Go Figure was a useful performer on the level. Fifth on National Hunt debut at Sedgefield, it would be folly to dismiss him after just one experience. Depraux looks to be progressing with every run but would need to improve greatly on his recent effort at Bangor to be competitive here. Gavanello has had many chances while Precious Dancer has ability but needs to brush up upon his hurdling technique. Not a great race by any stretch of the imagination and Tirol Livit looks the percentage call.
