Verdict

GUTO is given the vote to land this handicap with both Spirit of Coniston and Jakeini worth noting. The selection carries a penalty for his success at Newcastle last time out. The ground conditions that day were on the testing side but he had proved himself when winning over course and distance in August and looks more than capable of winning again off his current mark. Spirit of Coniston is another that has a penalty to over come after scoring at Mussleburgh last time out. He was a big priced winner that day and had dropped to what was a handy mark so if he can recapture that form he is entitled to go close once again. Jakeini caught the eye when finishing second to Note Perfect at Ayr last time out. The conditions that day were on the slow side so any rain forecast will benefit him, but for the winner we return to Guto.
