Jaunty Flyer was only beaten a neck over 3m at Ffos Las in November. He got off the mark when dead-heating over a shorter trip here last month and, despite a penalty, should give another good account. But the big step up in trip is sure to suit points winner JACK DEVINE, who has shown promise in both starts under Rules including one on this track. Luckime appears to be making steady progress so can’t be ignored but it would be a shock if teenager Blue Cove finally won a race at the 37th time of asking.

Jaunty Flyer 4-5fav (10-12) Led, pressed from 2 out, ridden before last, headed run-in, rallied to join leader on line, won at Catterick 2m 3f (4) hvy in Jan beating Teescomponents Lad (10-12), 10 ran.
