In depth

Verdict

Favourites have got a great record in this race and the jolly can prosper here once more, with Me And Mine taken to beat Bowl Em Over and, if he turns up after yesterday's Pontefract exertions, Baytown Paikea. The selection wil appreciate this return to a faster surface and went close in similar company at Musselburgh on his second start. Comfortably beaten in a maiden since then, this will be more his standard and with his yard going very well he can oblige. Baytown Paikea has seen plenty of action so far this campaign and has been going well in this sort of grade, so clearly can't be ruled out if her Pontefract efforts do not count against her. Bowl Em Over should not be far away from Baytown Paikea based on their running behind Granny Peel and is not without a chance, but with little else appealing we will take Me And Mine to score.
