Verdict

As the highest rated in this selling field GOLD FIX looks to have the best claims leaving Drinking Buddy and Musiara chasing the minor honours. In addition to good looking terms the pick has been running some good races in defeat in some fair looking handicaps. That form sets the standard and this drop in class looks an obvious plus. All of Drinking Buddy's three starts have come at this level and he has progressed in each. We can expect another improved effort this time, which should be enough to grab some prize money. Musiara has some fair if not in and out form at this grade so if in the mood should go close and Raine Supreme could get in on the act if building on his performance last time ahead of a subsequent winner. Not a great contest but Gold Fix looks to have solid claims.
