Nonrunner
A decent turn out for this novice stakes which may go the way of CHIPS O'TOOLE with Night Trade and The Only Boss feared. Ramamara is the highest rated runner in the field and is well drawn to boot and she could run a big race, particularly if connections revert to the front running tactics that worked so well at Warwick. Night Trade made virtually every yard on her first foray into handicaps over course and distance and looks of interest in this tougher contest although her high draw is a negative. The Only Boss won an egg and spoon in effortless fashion having shown promise in a Yarmouth maiden that has worked out reasonably well and he can take a hand. Durham Express won well enough at Redcar and may improve whilst the likes of Hold On Tiger and Mijas Playa can't be ignored but preference is for Brian Meehan's charge. Chips O'Toole has taken a while to open his account but there was plenty to like about the way he went about his business at Goodwood and he has enough speed to cope with this shorter trip. Rain would be a worry but as long as the ground remains on top we'll remain with Chips O'Toole.
