    Verdict

A competitive race where it can pay to side with NO WONGA ahead of Sphere and Tropical Bachelor. This intermediate trip may prove to be ideal for David Evans' mare who failed to land a blow over a slightly longer trip at Wolverhampton but had previously won well at Haydock over twelve furlongs. She made the frame at Ayr over a similar trip to today's prior to that and should have a say in the outcome. Jenny Soba had the selection behind when winning at Warwick in September and has every chance of confirming the form on these terms. Sphere finished in front of Tropical Bachelor in a quick ground seller at Beverley and is open to further improvement on debut for a new yard and has coped with softer ground well enough in the past. So, too, has Obara D'Avril who stays well enough but she has looked a trifle onepaced on occasion unlike Simple Jim who scored over course and distance last month. Silent Lucidity is relatively unexposed and Sovento one to note in the market but the money can go to No Wonga.
