    Verdict

A difficult contest to solve with Taas Heel, Field Spark and Red River Rebel all holding chances on the form book. Mick Channon's representative is given the nod despite a modest run last time out as it is envisaged that he should be better suited by the smaller field size. Field Spark is undoubtedly improving for Jeremy Glover. He did finish behing Misternando a couple of runs ago and as Mick Channon trains that runner - he is likely to have a fair idea as to how much of a threat Field Spark is. Lazzaz does not know how to run a bad race and is arguably one of the gamest horses in training. He is undoubtedly better on an artificial surface and has one or two questions to answer about the trip. Red River Rebel may be the speculative punt of the race. He is best judged on a fourth to King Flyer over the trip at this time of last season and could run a place. Colway Ritz has been out of form all season. Chaka Zulu stays all day without necessarily looking the most determined in a dogfight. Having considered the alternatives, Taas Heel is given the nod in a fiendishly difficult classified event.
