      Verdict

      GRACIOUS JOHN (NAP) has come up short on the last couple of occasions but still managed to finish in front of most of today’s rivals. Third at Wolverhampton last time when ahead of Tropics and Jumira Bridge, he’d earlier finished runner-up at Lingfield beating Teruntum Star, Verne Castle and Captain Lars in the process. David Evans’ sprinter also got the better of Royal Birth when scoring at Lingfield in February so has the form to land this if at his best. Teruntum Star got closest to the selection and looks the main threat again given Something Lucky has something to prove in this higher grade.
