      Verdict

      Graceful Lady goes well here and made a pleasing return to action at Ascot. Dropped a pound since, Robert Eddery’s mare should be thereabouts but it was hard not to be impressed by CARNWENNAN (NAP) at York 11 days ago and he was an unlucky loser at Kempton when last on Polytrack – a 4lb rise does not look insurmountable. Alabaster is often placed but likely to find at least one too good again but a second victory for Mandalayan is not out of the question, though this is a big step up in distance. Faithful Mount has been looking one paced over hurdles.
