Eton Rambler is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and though beaten a long way in this a year ago was making his seasonal debut and has had a run this time. Thunder Pass has only had six runs but landed a Pontefract handicap over this trip in October before finding Wolverhampton's Tapeta track against him a fortnight later. He was earlier beaten one-and-a-half lengths by SHADES OF SILVER at Kempton and, even allowing for weight-for-age, the latter is much better off at the weights and has had a recent run to put him straight so gets the vote. May Be Some Time scored over hurdles at Taunton in March before running well on his return to the Flat at Windsor so is probably on a fair mark nowadays. Air Squadron is very consistent but his best form is over further.
