MIDNIGHT RIDER (NAP) dropped back to the minimum trip for the first time in almost two years at Windsor last week and produced his first victory since 2012. He comes here with a penalty but the very competent Pat Millman can claim 7lb so a quick double looks on the cards. Tarooq has a strike-rate of 13 from 30 on artificial surfaces but is only 1-18 on Turf. But he's been in excellent form over the winter and into the spring so, as he's a massive 22lb lower in the ratings on Turf, has to be a major threat. Macdillon has won three races in his career - all at Sandown - and he does best with a bit of cut in the ground but Beau Mistral has joined Tony Carroll and she'll be winning from this sort of mark soon. Threave has had little racing and hasn't won since 2013 despite being well supported in her two starts last season.
