Verdict

Some interesting recruits from various areas of the jumping scene clash in what could well prove to be an informative contest. The choice is RUBEN COTTER, a solid second here to Big Occasion when last seen in December, likely to improve considerably for that run and proven on the forecast heavy ground. Danandy and Mr Hooper both arrive on the back on decent bumper victories with the former taken as the main danger to the selection as his fitness is assured whereas the Dartnall inmate has an absence of over 300 days to overcome. Venetia Williams has taken charge of some useful-looking sorts from France and Special Robon, a winner of two of his four starts in his native land, looks one to take seriously on his first run for the yard. He handled soft conditions well in France and is worth a careful market check on returning from an absence of over 200 days. The consistent Milarrow is an each-way option.
