In depth

Verdict

It will be a surprise if Flemi Two Toes doesn't step up on his debut third at Bangor in November. Rebecca Curtis' five-year-old is probably the main danger here to SAINT LUKE. A winner over C&D last month, Peter Bowen's son of Bob's Return looks a decent prospect and is capable of defying his penalty. Kawa's defeat of A Bridge Too Far at Ludlow was boosted by the second's subsequent hurdles success and he shouldn't be ignored, but points winner Bravo Riquet is probably worth opposing on his debut under Rules. Giles Smyly's General Melchett looks the pick of the newcomers on breeding but may need more time.
