Verdict

Shapiro has shown enough the last twice to suggest he can land a small bumper for a yard with a good record in these contests and should be in the mix once again. Colin Tizzard will need to coax some improvement out of Barcalona on his first run for the yard whilst the newcomers to track in the market are Meep Meep and Viva Vittoria. Ben Pauling is another handler with a decent record in races of this nature and his Kayf Tara mare, CAVOK, is the selection. She created a most pleasing impression when landing an Irish point on New Year's Eve on heavy ground and it would be no surprise were she to make a winning debut under Rules here.
