Verdict

Mount Rushmoore gave supporters of well-backed stablemate Golden Sunrise a fright on his hurdling debut at Exeter and looks capable of better. He had favourite Blu Cavalier back in fourth that day and can confirm the form but might find CHAMPAGNE CHAMP a tough nut to crack. Rod Millman’s charge was a stayer on the Flat so possibly found 2m too short when third at Wincanton. This is a more suitable test and he will have learned from the experience. Taunton third Cotswold Way is another likely improver and Snuff Box only found one too good over course and distance last month, though was beaten 15 lengths. Gnarly makes his debut under Rules and is best watched after a lay-off.
