Verdict

A 6lb penalty incurred for his narrow success in a Leicester seller last week may prevent Rapid City from following up here and a better bet looks to be ADVERTISE, who gets the vote ahead of Oriental Girl. Stan Moore's mare was not at her best on soft ground at Salisbury when last seen in October but her earlier form is solid and, with the yard's runners in good heart, she has to be respected on her reappearance. Mark Brisbourne's Lord of The Dance is better than he showed at Newbury recently but he remains a maiden after 10 starts and may be booked for a place at best. The David Evans-trained Quiquillo has run creditably over a mile and further before but she seems best over sprint trips so may be best watched in a race taken to go to Advertise. Andrew Balding's gelding has run well in both starts this term in handicaps at Salisbury over seven furlongs and has given every indication that he would appreciate being dropped in distance so he looks worth chancing back over six furlongs here.
