Verdict

Rangitoto was only beaten half a length by Doctor Foxtrot on his hurdling debut at Ffos Las and should know more today. But this is no straightforward task with Cresswell Crusader and GLITZY D'OCALA equally promising sorts. Both have already won bumpers here on heavy ground and the former would probably have justified favouritism at Lingfield on his first start over timber had Rachael Green kicked for home earlier. But narrow preference is for Philip Hobbs' charge, who made a race of it with the smart Tornado Bob at Leicester until lack of condition told - he will strip fitter today.
