Verdict

C'Est Ca hasn't done as well as expected over fences and was fortunate to finish runner-up in a four-runner race at Limerick, though that was a Grade 2 event and this represents a drop in class. Harold's Cross didn't manage to lose his maiden tag over timber but went close on a couple of occasions and it will be interesting to see how he fares over the bigger obstacles. Doc O'Donnell landed a point-to-point at Knockanard a couple of weeks ago but his form over regulation fences leaves plenty to be desired. PARADIS DE THAIX ran well behind Tharawaat at Down Royal at the end December but disappointed behind Flat Out at Punchestown a few days later. He could have been feeling the effects of that earlier effort and a nice break should have left him fresh enough to take this.. Cross Appeal had some decent form over timber but was beaten a very long way on his chasing bow here a month ago.
