      Verdict

      Shaffire wasn’t entirely disgraced in a decent maiden at Newmarket on debut, despite running green, but this may chiefly concern previous winner Thriving and I’LLETYOUGONOW. The former landed the odds at Beverley after a second at Sandown and should stay the extra furlong but Mick Channon’s filly had Comeonfeeltheforce behind when a promising second at Newbury and is fancied to recoup losses today.
