In depth

Verdict

Most of these would have been happier with a few hurdles to jump but not General Brook, who has won four times on the Flat this year including one over track and trip eight days ago. Raised only 2lb, it would be no surprise to see him home in front again this evening but a case can also be made for INNOKO. Bob Stephens’ gelding was just beaten off this mark over course and distance in May and is a reliable sort under both codes. Seaborn is the most interesting of Tim Vaughan’s duo while English Pale makes most appeal of John Flint’s trio.
