Cadoudalas handles cut in the ground but Richard Lee's gelding has only won once from 14 starts so far and may have to settle for a place at best again with a better bet looking to be the reappearing SAWPIT SOLITAIRE, who gets the vote ahead of Pinerock. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding is relatively unexposed after just six career starts and only three over hurdles and he looks reasonably well treated off a mark of just 109. Don McCain's Jungleland was pulled up on his most recent start at Towcester in November but earlier form is solid and he has claims if able to reproduce that on ground that suits. David Pipe's Quinte du Chatelet has been in good from with wins at Uttoxeter and Leicester and he has every opportunity if able to run up to the level of form shown in those races but he disappointed at Southwell last time and looks best watched in a race taken to go to Sawpit Solitaire. Venetia Williams has her team in good form now so the mare may be worth chancing on her reappearance.
