Dragon Slayer has more to do upped in trip and raised 2lbs since his win in an all-weather maiden at Southwell last time and is probably best ignored so preference is for Courageously, who gets the vote over Mossmann Gorge. The selection remains unexposed after just six career starts and, having beaten Uncle Bulgaria (a winner since) at Warwick earlier this month lost no caste in defeat off his new mark at Windsor last time. A reproduction of that latest effort may suffice. Volitio has gone up 7lbs for his win at Wolverhampton last time and has more to do over today's longer trip. Toque has been given a chance by the handicapper and has to be respected along with Bogaz, who has shown a consistent level of form of late and is entitled to be thereabouts. Moonmaiden has dropped to a favourable mark and cannot be discounted along with Mossmann Gorge, although David Flood's gelding may want a softer surface to show his best. The ground provides no fears for Courageously though, who gets the vote.
