Verdict

Petethepear has his first run for Stuart Edmunds having finished third at Tipperary on his debut under Rules in May. He should be thereabouts if fully wound up but Philip Hobbs' newcomer Desert Retreat is probably best watched with an inexperienced amateur doing the steering. Winning pointer FACT OF THE MATTER improved on his bumper debut when fourth at Fontwell in April. This galloping track should play to his strengths and he gets the nod with Sean Bowen taking over the reins.
