Verdict

Plenty of these can be given a chance in a moderate but competitive contest and what can only be a tentative vote goes to the Tor Sturgis-trained PLUMAGE, who has been running consistently well this season and she can give weight away all round with the main dangers rated as Don Pele and Charles Parnell. The last mentioned disappointed at Southwell last time but has claims on earlier form on the Fibresand and the Polytrack so he has to be respected. Paul Howling's Dream Express has done little wrong of late and should be thereabouts again, while Dualagi has slipped to a decent mark but needs to improve. Milton Bradley's Mazzola is capable but inconsistent and of more interest may be Don Pele, who has run well in sellers and claimers in his last two starts and looks reasonably well treated back in a handicap. Marginal preference though is for Plumage, who can gain a deserved success.
