      Verdict

      Barry Hills, already successful twice in this event, can score again with Go Solo, while Maren will have his supporters as well. Go Solo improved on his Windsor debut to be a close second to Happy Holiday at Haydock, looking for all the world as though seven furlongs is required. He is a half-brother to Il Capitano, a winner over this trip as a juvenile, and although not blessed with the best of the draw, is hard to ignore, given the trainer's fine record in the race. Maren made a pleasing debut behind Isidore Bonheur at Newmarket recently, but may need another run. he does though have the assistance of top track jockey Willie Supple and should be prominent. Paul Cole has also won this race twice in the past and relies on Keepers Knight who has to improve a lot on his Lingfield introduction to take a hand. Go Solo has the form and must take the beating.
