Verdict

Bellomi, Art Currency and Hamalka form the shortlist in this maiden and the vote is given to Bellomi. The selection has the plum draw here and he can finally get his head in front after going close on each of his last three starts. He was only beaten a neck from an outside draw here last time and he looks a rock solid bet. Art Currency was only narrowly beaten by Mr Keppel last time and that form has since been franked. However, he shaped last time as though a step-up in trip would suit and he may find things happening too quickly for him over 7f on this turning track. Hamalka hails from a yard that do well here and she did shape with plenty of promise last time. She looks to be going the right way and is respected. Try Me is an interesting newcomer but she will do well to win from stall 6 on her debut. All of which returns us to Bellomi as the selection.
