Verdict

Jacobs Well carries a penalty for his victory on the Flat in 2015. He was in good form at the backend of last year and makes his debut over timber in this moderate contest. Beginningtogetup put a poor debut at Punchestown behind him with a much better run at Gowran while Born To Size made a bold attempt to make all at Thurles and only weakened at the last. With her stable still carrying all before them, STRIKE IS BACK should go one better after two second spots already this month, the latest on Saturday when just touched off over 2m5f at Limerick. This is probably on the short side but soft ground should make it a stamina test and she can go one better.
