Verdict

Clitandre, runner-up in a point at Kirkistown last February, was having his first subsequent start when favourite at Punchestown last month where he finished last after being impeded. He never looked like winning and will need to do better, even in this moderate company. IMPERIAL WAY hasn't been getting home after setting the pace and could find this ground on the soft side but he won't get may better chances to lose his maiden tag and looks the one to be on. Gagas Horse ran well for a long way at Thurles earlier this month and will be difficult to keep out of the frame while Mon Eldorado has joined Gordon Elliott after an opening run at Warwick last May and can be expected to improve. De Rasher Counter was having his sixth start between the flags when scoring in very testing conditions at Borris House last month where only two of the 14 starters completed the course.
