In depth

Verdict

An incredible turnout for such a moderate prize. Cara's Oscar put his bumper run to good use when storming to victory over a big field at Down Royal though Dara Tango's maiden success at Killarney in May is probably the better form and he'll be suited by a return to quick ground. The ex-French Kostar was having just his second start for Dessie Hughes when scoring at Sligo and there's more to come as there is with the progressive Six Stone Ned, who will have benefited from his recent run at Galway, his first since scoring at Ballinrobe in May. Darwins Theory ran very well behind Run With The Wind at Listowel though that was on heavy ground so, in a difficult race to sum up, SIZING MACHINE, who narrowly beat subsequent winner Defence Of Duress at Down Royal a month ago, is handed the vote.
