In depth

Verdict

With Ruby Walsh at Punchestown Paul Townend has come in for some cracking rides today including on LISTEN DEAR, unbeaten in her last five starts including both runs over fences. She had much more in hand than the official verdict suggests at Thurles last time and, as she's still only a six-year-old, there's plenty more left in the tank. Her Stable companion Daisy's Gift has come late to chasing but there was plenty to like about her victory at Wexford having earlier chased home the very progressive Airlie Beach over hurdles at Gowran. Hello Sweetie has found things tough after winning a minor race at Clonmel and though Colla Pier finished third in a Grade 3 at Punchestown she never looked like winning and has since been well beaten over hurdles at Ascot.
