A monster card gets under way with a moderate maiden in which THE GRADUATE is taken to make a successful debut for Tony Martin. Four times a winner on the Flat for Andrew Balding, including a Class 2 handicap over 1m6f at Haydock in September, he looks a smart recruit to hurdling. Vanishing Point is another winner from the same yard who should make a hurdler while dual Flat winner Brontide should have benefited from his opening run over timber at Punchestown. English Pale has improved with each run and would have an obvious chance on his narrow defeat by I See You Well at Naas in January while Look Closer was well supported when headed right on the line by From Eden at Fairyhouse and is likely to attract attention again.
