Verdict

NEW KID IN TOWN made all for an impressive victory over this trip at Killarney but made too many mistakes when tackling further at Clonmel - he can get back to winning ways. Bendanella scored over hurdles at Sligo in July but never got competitive over fences at Ballinrobe and will need to do much better here. Grange Hall showed nothing in his first two starts over fences so it was a surprise when she scored at Sligo, though the very testing conditions obviously suited. Vinnie Luck has always looked a chaser in the making and so it proved at Sligo where he comfortably landed the odds and there's more expected of him while point-to-point and maiden hurdle winner M M D Sizer is one to keep an eye on in the coming months as he has a smart pedigree for jumping. Swantykay has yet to win in a dozen starts over fences but was there with every chance when falling two out at Clonmel last month.
