MICHAELMAS made a fine debut at Leopardstown where he found only Focus In Venice too strong over 6f. He was by no means given a hard time that day and the kindness should be rewarded. The winner's trainer, Jim Bolger, is represented by Bru Mor, another offspring of Intense Focus and closely related to several winners. The Organ Grinder is the first foal of a winning miler and should have plenty of pace while Candy Apples is bred on similar lines. Supernatural should be noted in the betting as she's a speedily-bred filly with several winning relatives.
