    In depth

    Verdict

Dermot Weld generally has one laid out for this and the lightly-raced Bashiyr looks a likely type having completed a double before a fair run on his handicap debut here. Current Option was narrowly beaten by Jassaar in the Cambridgeshire here in August though stable companion SALTONSTALL got no sort of run or would have finished much closer. A regular in this sort of company, he has Gavin Ryan's claim to aid his cause and gets the nod. Another from the yard, Bowerman, completed a double at Dundalk before runner-up at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in February while Njord ended the last campaign in superb form and significant rain would see him in the firing-line. Lord Rapscallion was in fine form at Dundalk over the winter while Patrick Sarsfield, a very easy maiden winner here in October, would have to be considered if getting a run from his reserve spot.
