Verdict

Aidan O'Brien hasn't won this since Airwave under Kieren Fallon in 2005 but the globetrotting MAGIC WAND should put matters right. All but one of her last 18 races have been in Group 1's including a brilliant victory at Flemington in November and placed efforts at Sha Tin and Gulfstream. She's a long way clear on official ratings and should get back to winning ways. Silk Forest made huge progress last season with a Naas Listed victory the highlight while Lady Wannabe ended up winning the Group 2 Blandford Stakes here in great style and still has plenty more to offer. Hamariyna has the benefit of a run in Group 3 company at Naas in March and she can get competitive.
