In depth

Verdict

Denis Hogan has made a blistering start to the campaign and Grammata, by first-season sire Twilight Son and related to numerous winners, is one to note. Jonjo Stack has also started strongly and the Holy Roman Emperor filly Blue Cabochon is related to a host of winners while Jessica Harrington, another in top form, is responsible for the Starspangledbanner filly Dickiedooda, who is out of a two-year-old winner at a mile. Tassel Flower is by Kodiak out of a 6f winner while stable companion Royal Blend is by Zoffany and a half-sister to two winners. French 2000 Guineas winner The Gurkha is having his first runners this season including FINEST, whose dam has produced numerous winners and the Ballydoyle entry is taken to make a successful debut.
