Verdict

Search For A Song was racing over this trip for the only time when landing this a year ago and his latest run behind Magical over 1m2f in the Tattersalls Gold Cup will have put him spot-on for the double. Roger Varian sends Ebor winner Fujaira Prince from the UK and though this will be his first start in Pattern race company this isn't the strongest of Group 1 races. Twilight Payment was well beaten in this last year but didn't enjoy the fast ground and has been in excellent form this campaign scoring twice over the track and trip, the latest by eight lengths. SOVEREIGN (NAP), last year's Irish Derby winner, was three lengths behind the latter here in June but that was his first start since his classic victory a year earlier. He's since chased home Enable in the King George and can get back to winning ways. Micro Manage has had this as his target for some time and ran a promising trial behind Delphi last month
