Verdict

Aared didn't do much wrong on his reappearance at Cork and will come on for the run but this looks a strong maiden. Morning Mix made a bright start on ground faster than he would have liked at Gowran in September and two Derby entries suggest he's held in high regard. LOS BARBADOS caught the eye in no uncertain terms behind stablemate Giovanni Canaletto at Leopardstown in October. He's also in both Derbies and can get his new season off to a winning start. His stablemate Sandro Botticelli is by Galileo out of a French Group 1 winner so it's a surprise that he doesn't have any fancy entries but he may need more time. John Oxx has a good record in the race so his Sea The Stars filly Eau Sea Bleu, who cost 340,000gns as a yearling, is one to keep on the right side.
