Verdict

Royal Diamond was a surprise winner of the St Leger here in September when Shu Lewis was five lengths behind and has remained in top form, beating today's rival Sir Ector easily over this trip at Leopardstown. However, he's twice been put in his place by ERNEST HEMINGWAY recently and Aidan O'Brien's colt, who will also be running in the classic next month, will prove very difficult to beat. Voleuse De Coeurs started favourite over the course and distance in June but had no answer to the selection and Royal Diamond and is much better on ground with plenty of give.
